The adventure of my photographic ventureFollowing are details I hope will show the many locations and venues I have so far visited. But rest assured that my style is all about the people whilst taking advantage of the venue and scenery, and a fresh view of any location can often be so much the advantage.There are many wedding photographers Leeds, but you'll find me amongst the most welcome Leeds based photographers.
The very first wedding I photographed was in Leeds, a lovely garden party wedding. Many claim to have a reportage photographers style, many claim to capture natural unobtrusive images. In my research I have often found these buzz words misused. I am centrally based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, and photograph weddings throughout the UK without any distance charges. I have photographed many weddings in London areas. The reactions and comments I receive are amazing. Many comment on my relaxed approach, welcome presence, calm personality and unobtrusive style. These comments have come from guests, couples, and even registrars and vicars. I am confident that amongst the 100's of London based wedding photographers, you'd struggle to find what I can offer. I experience what you experience, and capture things you can't see or didn't see. What a wonderful thing! I find myself welcome as if a guest. A calm personality allows me to blend in. So much more than 'fly on the wall'. I use available light rather than flash, avoiding distraction and capturing the actual light, atmosphere, and colour.
'What a fantastic day and what fantastic photographs to remind us. What is amazing is all of the little details that you miss as it all goes in a blur are captured forever in your wonderful pictures. Everyone commented that they didn't even realize that you were around as they felt so comfortable with your relaxed and unobtrusive style which was exactly what we wanted. We asked for no formal shots just capturing the day and you certainly delivered that and more. As you don't use flash no one was blinded or self conscious and you didn't order us all around or take over the occasion. The photographs speak for themselves they are stunning and capture the feel of the venue with it's beautiful honey coloured light in the main hall. I use a very simple technique when photographing groups. 'Chat to each other' And almost instantly, natural smiles !
In my portfolio you'll see my photographic style. So much is so often lost when zooming in too close. You can crop a photo, but you can't add to it ! I use prime (not zoom) lenses capturing more than just detail – I capture the whole scene, and the detail within. Example
Stand together at a mirror and see how you look together. Find your own best pose and posture and you'll see personality in your images. There is no 'perfect pose' in photography, the best image comes when you find your individual comfort zone.

Smile please. How welcome I am as you can see in this picture. I feel myself one of the guests – rather than just the photographer. In this way only – I can capture the magic moments like this one.
Stylishly inquisitive…
The wealth and beauty of colour at Asian weddings is fab! I love the way my images capture the moments to create calm memories in the busy chaos. Black and white images can calm even more the memory and reveal the emotion… Thanks for the experience and fun!
Bubbles… Complete the story yourself; imagination can be inspired by stepping back and capturing detail within a scene – without one or the other – the magic lost.
If you see in the image above to the right you can see these paper lanterns. Captured without flash, this image has all the atmosphere this subtle lighting created. The planning and efforts of those creating the room is now timeless.
How red are the reds in images captured by others? I use Prime (not zoom) lenses and the advantage in colour and contrast is clear. What do you think?
Typical large bags are not my style and I have no doubt that this too makes a welcome difference.
